I just got this because I have a segment of cord that I need to attach when I hang it over my head. I have literally the same garlands advertised in the product photos. In the spring, such products are hard to find. I bought it first to try. I use it where my patio light cord goes down and meets an outdoor style extension. There was some space around the cord with a fully enclosed guard. Because the ends of the cord are perpendicular to the ground, water would surely seep in during heavy rain.
