Not suitable for hoses or tools

These adapters are not large enough to fit properly in or on hoses or tools. The inside and outside dimensions are standard hose/tool sizes, meaning they won't fit in or around anything you want to connect.

Not for my application

I love cleaning the gutters in our house with my shop vacuum. My new vacuum has a 1-7/8" hose instead of the 2" it used to have. I wanted to connect the hose to a 2" cleaning wand I bought but the adapters don't work. I had to send them back.

Excellent adapters for power tools and hand tools

If you have a custom sized hose that doesn't fit you then these are for you. I've used it on my 1 7/8" wet vacuum hose and the attachment I need it for won't work on a 1 7/8" hose. But with them I got a good fit on the nozzle, and they connected to the hose just as well.

Check the size before you buy

The product description is unclear on the internal dimensions so I only bought them to test if they would fit my DeWalt Flexvolt table saw. Unfortunately I had to play with the heat gun to make it fit rather than return the item. I recommend that you look at my pictures for sizes and make sure they fit before you buy. I hope this review is helpful. Much luck

For the extra money it's a lifetime tool kit that's worth every penny

Craftsman has always been the number one choice for professionals or beginners. The Craftsman is well made, most of them have a lifetime warranty, it breaks, you take it to the store, they replace it with a refurbished or new tool, it costs more, but you never have to buy another set of tools. As an investment, you can buy a set in a few years, another set will buy one of them, and create one set after another, you can create a complete tool, tailored to each person's desires.

Used adapter 2-1/2 " to 1-7/8 " to connect the Dewalt DWS779 miter saw to the dust extraction system

Dewalt DWS779 dust collector to my shop's dust extraction system (2.5" Shop vacuum cleaner Ridgid with upstream cyclone dust separator). The DWS779 dust collector is a really odd size, but when I googled I saw someone say that a 1/2" to 1-7/8" 2 adapter would work with a little heat and elbow grease. I was able to use a heat gun, heat the 1-7/8" side of the adapter and expand it. Dust collector for miter saws. The other side of the adapter (2.5") fits my store bought vacuum hose perfectly.
