We have installed slatted walls in our garage and we love it. So versatile and customizable. We ordered these bike hooks for all of our four bikes, two adults and two children. I discovered that these hooks need to be threaded through the bar into the stud when I found my bike on the ground one morning :) The top of the hook came loose from the bar. I was hoping I'd get a Crawford Flip Up Bike Hook that offers the simple solution: this is it. After installing it in my garage, each (3) now holds the bike securely. However, only one of the three brackets ordered came with mounting screws(!) and while I was able to attach them to the posts in my garage, they are better suited to rail mounted wall systems. This bike rack does exactly what it's supposed to do. You simply bolt it to a luggage rack or a rock face and it stays on your bike forever. It's also sturdy enough to easily use the bike as a luggage rack for clothes, hats, and backpacks. I love the fact that my bike is stored off the ground so there is nowhere for dirt and dust to hide while my bike is far away from me, my vacuum cleaner etc. Pros: It's cheap, easy, and efficient.
