I bought this toaster and when I turned it on I noticed the elements heating up unevenly. About 1/2 to 3/4 of the elements on each side turned red. This is the maximum setting after heating up to the end of the toasting cycle. I called Cuisinart and asked if this was a normal problem with their cheaper toaster or if I had a faulty unit.
