Excellent replacement spout

Very easy to install on a 4 1/4" neck with a 3/4" nipple after reading the instructions on the back of the card attached to the spout. Looks very nice with the Danco chrome wall ring. The price was a definite plus.

Pros
  • Excellent design
Cons
  • Not all will fit

Partial Spout Kit

Spout requires an extension and clamp to slide onto the spout pipe nipple and install. This is as per YOUR VIDEO as shown on the purchase page at Revain. This did not include the installation kit specified. I had to buy a new one from Home Depot. Return no problem.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Quick Start Guide

Do not order for 1/2 "

Probably great for 3/4" pipe. The 3/4" to 1/2" adapter is made of soft plastic that makes a great gasket, but is easily damaged when tightened onto a 1/2" pipe. If your 1/2 -inch pipe is close to the length of the spout, do not use this product as the adapter will not allow you to pull the spout all the way to the wall. You do not need a gap between the spout and the wall.

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • Not bad

Installs in 20 minutes on harsh plumbing

A housewife was able to install this new bathtub faucet in about 20 minutes. I watched the YouTube video before starting the project. Between my video prep and the instructions on the back of the faucet, installation was easy. I was concerned that if I overtightened the faucet I would break the plastic adapter. Not sure how long this faucet will last, but perfect for moving into a rental

Pros
  • Good
Cons
  • Problematic

Ease of installation. for faucet parts

Looks good but it doesn't last long with my hard water. {2-3 years} You have to be careful when installing, it's difficult to start the threads, I had to remove the tape and use another nipple to clean the threads on the adapter to attach it, wish they had it done. Do not use a plastic adapter! Be careful not to mess up the threads on the plastic adapter or you will have to buy another spout, they don't sell the adapter separately.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Very expensive

The video shows an installation method that is completely different from the equipment received. The spout came with a 1/2 to 3/4 thread adapter that screwed onto the threaded pipe and then the spout screwed onto it. DO NOT go all the way inside the pipe. The device I received required a longer threaded tube which was then screwed into the other end of the spout. Will NOT buy again and strongly advise against buying.

Pros
  • Ease of use
Cons
  • Reliability

Inexpensive and reliable

My building was built in 1929 and my plumbing is at least 50 years old. I don't know why the spout is gold and everything else is chrome. The quickest and easiest way to make my bathroom look better is to replace the finish without touching the 100 year old pipes behind it. I chose this Danco because its shape looked like it would match my existing decor and it's cheaper than other Revain grommets. My stylist made a replacement for me and it looked great and solid (not flimsy as others have…

Pros
  • Handsfree
Cons
  • The list will be long.
