Was skeptical based on other reviews but had to replace the chrome versions in my garden tub and they helped. While the pop-up drain might not seem as strong as the twist and lift drain, it seems to fit perfectly and I'm not worried about breaking it. I would buy this again.

The stopper top is plastic, as is the handle. Broke in a year. IF you can install it. For installation in the tub, the internal plug must be unscrewed. I will not come back. Even after pulling the drain out of the tub I STILL couldn't turn it back on while looking at it. For metal parts you have to spend a little more. Don't do this every two years as they will break.

I wish I could say this is a good drain, but it's very sticky and doesn't rise or fall very easily. This problem has existed since installation. Also, I put the cleaner in the tub overnight and the drain cap turned bronze the next day. Not very good. Finally, if you live in a hard water area like me, don't buy this. It sticks more and more as we use it. At one point I just had to unscrew the drain cap because it wouldn't close.

It looks great when it's done in the tub. Press the tub button to stop water draining and press to turn off. Can be poured great! To install I took a copper drain adapter and hand tightened it, then applied the right amount of plumbing putty to the underside of the trim to keep water from seeping through and wow lah! Did. Very easy to install. And remember, don't overtighten or they will break. But I highly recommend this if you want to freshen up your bathtub to make it look almost new. giggle

Finally the polished nickel size I need! I was very happy to find this product because I couldn't find the right size at a polished nickel hardware store. I have a stock size of 1-3/8, which is rarer, but this fits perfectly. It comes with a rubber lip washer but when I put it in the drain was too high leaving a lot of water in the tub. I took it off and used regular piping instead and it works great now. Most sinks don't have shims anyway, but I think other types of sinks might work with a…

This was used to replace an old chrome rig. Also, the old drain was difficult to remove, but I managed to remove the old components. This set has everything you need to upgrade your current disguise. The button feels a little cheap and plasticky, but has worked well so far. This drain and overflow plate came with the plate slightly dented as if it had been improperly stored and the packaging did not prevent damage. It wasn't enough to worry about as it wouldn't be noticeable after installation, but it's annoying. The top of the cork is covered in plastic so any slightly harsh cleaner will ruin the finish. By the way, that's why I replaced the old drain in the first place. The drain itself was easy to install but I can see issues some people have had with the plug.
