Warning: This product can harm you.

Great design and good quality. BUT. If you cut off a piece of bamboo while slicing bread and unknowingly swallow the piece, you can cause internal bleeding and bleeding. Bamboo and resin/epoxy are not visible on x-rays. I just got lucky. Solved the problem quickly. It was an agonizing two hours, but I understood what had happened and felt better. Check the sliced bread carefully.

Pros
  • I'm looking forward to
Cons
  • There are disadvantages

The dimensions given in the product description are absolutely inaccurate. The tallest point is only 3.5 inches tall, the lowest point is 3.25 inches (Why aren't they all the same height? Weird.) If you're planning on using this along with bread machine loaves, I guarantee it won't work . I have a fairly small bread maker. The loaves are 5.25" square so that didn't work for me. I'm trying to return this item.

Better sooner than never

DB-Tech Bamboo Wood Compact Bread is the best product ever! I ordered a Pullman charging bowl with a lid that can make a loaf of bread and I ordered a collapsible bread slicer to evenly slice my bread. There's a small, medium, and large range for slicing bread, and I use the medium setting for the regular look of a slice of bread. A larger value produces thicker bread, for example for croutons, while a smaller value produces very thin bread for toasting and breading. It is fully foldable and…

Great for bread

I love this thing! I've recently started baking bread but I didn't like that my slices were either too thin or too thick and also not even. This allows me to make nice and even slices. I would recommend getting an electric knife which will also make the process easier. The only thing is that in the future I'll have to replace the bottom board because when I cut bread with an electric knife it scratches the board (I'm not sure how long it will last but I'm sure it will be decent will hold).…

Piece of Junk in Kitchen Utensils & Gadgets

This is garbage! The side does not hold up (if I knew how to add a video I would show you) and on first use one end of the rail fell on the floor! Today I use it for the fourth time. However, I still have to figure out how to return it. In my opinion it doesn't cut evenly no matter how thick I try. I better do it by hand. One side flips, the other flips, the side that flips falls off with every cut, it won't snap. Not to mention that the guide won't stay because the ending is over. Since it…

Works well in kitchenware and gadgets

We have been using this for 2 1/2 years now and absolutely love it. I like having different sizes in one piece. It held up well for about 2 years before the first 2 rails broke at the bottom. In fairness, we clipped from that ending almost daily in those years. It is on the thin end of the disc so after years of pressure the pieces tore at the bottom where they were attached. A large piece of wood glue extended the life another 6 months before it broke again. The rest of the slicer is fine. We…

Super upset that this wasn't an answer.

I've been using this for about two weeks and I'm sad I've had enough. I just irrationally threw a whole loaf of bread in the trash out of frustration. It would be great if it was made out of something like diamond, marble or kevlar. Basically I went from the problem of uneven slices of bread to the problem of how not to eat the broken pieces. The grooves are significantly wider than those of a bread knife and therefore cannot hold the knife securely in a 90 degree vertical, so at the slightest…

Not useful unless you have a special knife

Great concept. Terrible build. The knife slots are too thin. I don't mean that the bread slices are too thin for my liking, I mean the little slots that the knife slides into when slicing, too thin for any of my knives. I have 2 bread knives from different manufacturers and none fit in the slots. I have a dozen other knives for various other purposes and none of them fit. Some fit from the top, but as you get closer to the bottom the slots thin out a bit so even the knives that originally fit…

Unusable due to fragile parts broken. Misleading dimensions

I would give zero but 1 is the lowest. The original review appears below when I first received it. If you are using this item about once a week now since February 2021 (now August 2021) it is useless as the first two spokes have broken off at the end meaning the sides will not stay upright. Also a few spokes/flanges now have shards. I plan to buy a slicer that is made of durable material that won't tear when slicing bread and fits the width of my standard pan. I've done my best to research the…
