Be sure to purchase a DISPLAYPORT cable for this monitor.

It's a discontinued old Dell model, but you can squeeze out 1440p - only if you use a DisplayPort cable. If you use DVI or HDMI, Windows will only recognize it as an HD (1080p) monitor. The one I received was used with some broken plastic sections and some barely visible "watermark" damage on the right side and it gets pretty hot lol. However, I still prefer gaming at 1440P and it looks much better than my previous 720P monitor. Of course, you'll also have to play around with the picture…

Overall fantastic but with complaints

Overall fantastic but with complaints. You'll need to update it with some third-party settings files if you want to use it with newer Macs and Displayport, and Displayport has some glitches from time to time when it wants to randomly and repeatedly put the monitor into sleep mode, but other than those things the list of prices and specifications speaks strongly for it compared to Apple's outrageously expensive monitors.

Just bought it from White Hat Computer.

In case you're wondering, the version number is A06 and the date of manufacture is November 2013. The USB 3.0 port on the left works fine. For everything else, I'll update my review later.

Stunning clarity and detail

I wanted this primarily because I am a semi-professional photographer and needed a monitor that would display my images more accurately and at the largest size I typically print - 13" x 19". It's excellent for this type of use. One caveat: it comes with additional calibration software from X-rite, which requires you to purchase the i1Display Pro to actually use the software. It's not a matter of course. If you already have a screen calibration tool, you don't need it. So don't download the…

Dell UltraSharp U2713H 104P6 27-inch review

Really nice monitor - pixel density, clarity and contrast were even better than I had hoped. I use dark themes and they display very well. No problems with marginal bleeding - something I was very afraid of. The anti-reflective coating is very pleasant - very thin. I'm currently running this monitor on a Dell XPS 8300 desktop at 2560x1440 in Linux Mint 15 (Linux will automatically adjust to the new resolution and I don't even have to lift a finger). Very high wow factor - unbelievable. Love the

Unsuccessful experience

We bought 2 monitors, unfortunately none came with a stand so they had to be ordered separately. We got a $15 refund because there were no coasters, but ordering them separately cost us a little over $30 + shipping. When we finally got the stands, we took out the monitors and attached them to the new stands. That's when we noticed that one monitor had scratches in the top third of the screen. The other monitor can't be adjusted to the same number of pixels as the others and keeps slipping off…

Does NOT work with Mac

Green stripes and halos. Not working with Macbook Pro after hours of troubleshooting. Dell does not support Mac clients, only Windows. Wouldn't recommend it. Its little brother, the HM, is good, its only downside is that it doesn't have pass-through serial display ports.
