I bought this unit hoping to better understand when to bale hay and if what I have already baled will be stored without forming. I live in a humid climate on the east coast of Maryland. From my previous experience, I figured the mid-teen hay was for dampness. The meter checked the bales for moisture between 27 and 33%.
