Delta 36-511 6000 Zero Clearance Throat Plate Review

Based on questions and feedback on this slotted insert, I found it to fit my Kobalt KT1015. This is the same insert, same color, that Lowe's sells for $25 off. I'm glad I found this insert, it fits my saw like a glove.

So there are two major disadvantages in the assembly. It doesn't have a riving knife slot, which doesn't really bother me, but it also doesn't account for the ridge on the left side of the blade and it wobbles. super dangerous. Doesn't fit at all. Do not buy. Oh, and it's a dado record, not zero spacing.

Ordered because the description said it was a 36-511 Zero GAP Gap Plate for a Delta 6000 Series saw (actually I put it on its original cobalt Delta KT-1015 saw.) What was supplied was a Dado 36-510 staple plate for Delta 6000/Kobalt KT1015. The picture is correct, the description is not. Luckily I also needed a slotted insert so I'll save that and keep looking for the 36-511 I need.

I use this product on my 10" cobalt table saw and it fits perfectly and works great! I will say that it tends to move forward and sometimes jumps out of position during use which is why I gave it 4/5 stars. My dados always seem a little upset. Although maybe it's just user error and I just didn't understand what I did wrong. Still, much better than paying extra for a branded cobalt (it's exactly the same product).

This is NOT a gapless insert as described. I bet on it despite the confusion in the description which said a zero gap bet but the picture showed a notch bet. It turned out that the latter. It also didn't fit my Kobalt table saw so I sent it back. It might match a newer cobalt but I'm not sure. I have the first generation that came out a few years ago. Either the seller made a mistake in the description or doesn't know what he's selling.

I bought this throat plate for a Kobalt KT1015 table saw because I heard it would fit and was less than half the price of a Kobalt brand spacer (if you can even find one). The package arrived before I got home from work. I immediately ran to my wood shop and tried it out. Fits perfectly. YES it will fit the Kobalt KT1015 portable jig saw and YES this table will fit the standard 8 inch pad set. The user manual even states that the Dado setup is compatible with this table. This insert is the same strength as the original that comes with the table. It has height adjustment holes just like the original. Doesn't stick and fits perfectly. This was a great find! I have a 10" Kobalt 15 amp table saw. This delta top is exactly the same as that which is sold at Lowes under the Kobalt brand Laws charges $53.16 for the exact same record sold under the Delta label for $29.99 I highly recommend this over purchasing the Kobalt branded version i using this insert with a 6" Dado Oshlun SDS-0630 30 tooth set I ordered from Revain. Thought it would fit my Kobalt Model 10152 Table Saw but I was wrong. It's my fault for not doing my due diligence. The picture shows the blue insert that came with my table saw; Note the thickness compared to the red insert I bought as a dado insert. Also note the ridges in the table saw where the insert sits; too deep for the red insert. Please do not take my 3 star rating as an indication of the quality of the product. Since I can't actually use paste, I can't give a reasonable guess anyway.
