Does not fit my Subaru 05

This sensor does NOT fit my old Subaru 05. It is specified but the plug is different so before you start the tedious work of taking out the old one and plugging this one in, check the connections because in this case I was VERY misled and it cost me a lot of time and money has. I recommend going to a parts store it might cost you more but then you know you are getting the right product and if not they are right there for you to prove to them.

Exactly the same as Subaru OEM

Exactly the same product as OEM. There are no product quality problems. However, it will NOT connect to a 2005 Forester. Subaru doesn't have the exact same part. I had to put the old connector in this one. There must be a problem replacing the sensors. I bought 3 Denso and 1 OE from dealer (same Denso sensor), all had the same story. Returned the other sensors, used this one as it was the cheapest of the 4. My end was cut and welded and it works great as expected.

Suitable alternative

This is an OEM review and so far there have been no check engine light or other issues after fitting. Our old upstream sensor in our 2005 Subaru Outback failed and after they charged us $80 for a full diagnostic check I didn't feel like paying dealer prices for the sensor and labor (they charged us $240 for the sensor and $520). for all the work!). Found this for under $100 and had a local mechanic install it who didn't charge us for the work as he was doing other work on the engine at theโ€ฆ

Save money install it yourself

Delivered on time. 1/2 the price of Bosch or NKG. Supplied with copper based anti-seize lubricant in a tube. As long as you have relatively easy access (which this product doesn't reflect), you can easily replace the old one with the new one. If not, consider purchasing a specialty key, such as a B. Cal-Van Tools 843 Oxygen Sensor Wrench or similar wrench that allows you to attach a breaker. You need to reset the check engine light. To do this, buy one of the portable electronic diagnosticโ€ฆ

Always go with OEM!

My 2005 Subaru Legacy complained about the need for an O2 sensor and I considered buying one of the unnamed cheaper sensors instead of Denso - but after checking half of them I saw tons of upcoming DOA or When I failed after a short time, I decided to stay with the OEM and get a Denso. Relatively easy to install on my Subaru, I was able to sneak into the passenger side of the engine just behind the valve cover and use a wrench to pry it out and unscrew/install a new one. After relearning whileโ€ฆ
