Stronger than it looks

I don't have a big shop and don't have room for a stationary table saw, so I bought a Dewalt portable saw. It was easy to move around the store and store when not in use. However, I wanted to find a more stable mounting solution than the wheeled tool box I used for the saw stand. I ordered this based on other reviews I saw on Revain and I'm glad I did. That works great! It is easy to install and remove and is securely attached to the saw. It's light enough that I can grab both saws and stand to

Better than bulky universal stands

I bought this because comparable universal stands were bulkier and still cost around $40-50. I was hoping I could use the wing nuts instead of the included hardware to make it easier to remove the saw from its stand for transport. The reason for this is that the part that the saw is attached to is a piece of bent metal with a burr that prevents the wing nut from turning. I can become a paddling pool and make a gap with a dremel. I'll wait a bit and see how many times I have to take it apart…

  • Free for educational purposes

Design flaws in saw blades, parts and accessories

I bought this stand because it says right on the box that the stand is for use with the compact table saw I just bought (DWE7485). Except it's not true. The screw holes don't line up and the two screws don't even fit in the holes in the saw. I contacted DeWalt and they sent me detailed instructions (see below) on how to find a solution. Had I known I would have to build my own platform I would never have bought a stand from them. Follow these steps: Step 1: Cut a piece of 3/4" thick plywood 2"…
