🧰 Dormeyer WM Solenoid Replacement: Enhanced, Laminated Model (2005-M-1) Review

Perfect replacement for the one that burned out in our durable wood boiler. Will update if this doesn't last but it looked good, fits perfectly. So far, so good! We're back in action!

Worked fine for about 5 months and started making noise so we replaced the last one with this unit. Unfortunately it has been almost a year since we bought and installed it and now it has to be replaced again after 5 months of use.

My wood boiler eats them up. If the wood hadn't been dry to the bone, the creosote would have jammed the damper and burned the serpentine. I installed a one amp fuse and didn't lose the solenoid. Over 1 year

I bought this as a spare for the solenoid on my central boiler door damper. The original Dormeyer magnet is over 12 years old so I thought it would be nice to have a replacement. I connected it to a 120 volt power supply and it worked fine.

fails after 4 weeks. This is the second purchased from another seller and has been working for a few months now. The original, which lasted 5 years, doesn't have these though. Not sure if they got a bad batch or a fake brand.

This item is for the air damper on my boiler fan. Works perfectly. It now hums due to the sliding motion causing the dent, but that's to be expected and not an issue other than the noise. The upgrade item failed in just under 2 years of use. not bad considering the price.

, have it and also a spare for our combustion fan on our wood boiler. You need to insulate the underside of it to eliminate electrical connections that could be causing the hum. I put small perforated bushings under it as engine mounts and the hum was gone. So there must be a problem with ground or power
