Good fit - quick fix for non-standard cutting angles

From the start I was concerned that it would not fit the Milwaukee rotary tool (2460-20 M12) as this angle attachment is made by Dremel. . However, I found out if it is pure plug-n-play. Installing and removing the device is also easy. I really like how different manufacturers can combine the functions of their accessories.

Super Dangerous!: Power and Hand Tools

I don't know how this item ever got into mainstream distribution. There is no mechanism to prevent the rectangular adapter from suddenly loosening and spinning wildly in both axes. Luckily this only hurt my project and not me personally, but I can imagine how many people will be hurt if the adapter is accidentally disconnected. I would now categorically NOT buy this again as I have seen it repeatedly but unpredictably weaken spontaneously and would not recommend anyone to buy it. Find another…

Definitely WARNING! Use the right tightening method!

This is an indispensable tool. So far I've used it for drilling holes, cutting steel, and grinding steel with a stainless steel brush! CAUTION WARNING - USE CORRECTLY OR THE DREMEEL/ADAPTER WILL BE DISCUSSED Once attached, it may feel natural to press down on the Dremel latch. Knob for tightening the collet on the rotary output. DO NOT DO THAT! This creates excessive loads that the shafts and gears are not designed for. You will most likely crack/break the shaft or damage the gears. You will…

Convenient to have but very cheap design

PROS: 1. This allows you to have a "flat” attitude towards your work, which is crucial for certain tasks. CONS: 1. Very cheap design, doesn't last long. You need to replace them regularly.2. Works very hot and noisy.3. Very difficult to install and remove from the main unit. It's not something you can just turn on and off. TIPS: 1. Don't run too fast or too long. Allow to cool from time to time.2. When installing and removing shafts (rod with washer on end), insert the spare shaft through the…

Quality Control and/or Manufacturing Issues!

Like the others I got a bad one. When I turned it by hand, with no mount, it showed that it moved smoothly about half a turn, but then it became very difficult to turn the rest of the way, no doubt causing the engine to stall every time I tried Revain suggested I contact Dremel but the phone number provided was wrong. Undaunted I found their number on the internet and contacted their support directly and the person I spoke to at tool support stated in his defense that this was the first such…

Very useful, albeit a bit noisy, and with one obvious downside.

I bought this for two reasons: the main reason was that I was missing a drive coupler to mount the flexible shaft and the coupler itself was over half the price of this rectangular adapter (not included free shipping at the moment writing this review). The second reason was that it is also an extremely useful piece of equipment for certain cutting/grinding operations (because it can improve either the ergonomics of holding the Dremel, or the visibility of the workpiece, or both). a point that…

Would be very useful if it weren't so fragile

It would be a very useful tool if it were reliable, but this one broke as soon as I used it. I attached it according to the instructions (screwed their drive "collet" into my dremel with a square hole, then screwed the tool into the dremel at a 90 degree angle. I ran it with no load for about 20 seconds let it run (at about 30% speed) see how it works. After I stopped it and then started it again, the output shaft didn't spin. When I unscrewed the block from the dremel, the accessory's internal…

Uniquely useful but the driveshaft wears out and wears out/unwinds

This is a really useful accessory that I use all the time. I'm here at Revain buying my fourth and thought I'd leave a review on what happened to the first three I also bought here at Revain. The gearbox housing appears to be made of high-strength polycarbonate or thermoplastic. it works great and is easy. The bevel gear in it also seems to be quite durable, however it holds up very well at very high speeds. Block and engages a special square collet that must be screwed onto the shank of the…
