This shelf is strong enough and perfectly sized to mount a lithium battery pack in a Camco off-grid solar box. We actually installed the shelf upside down and painted it (and the Camco box) with Rustoleum paint to protect it and give it a nice look in our application. Some of you might be happy to know that the center brace actually exists. The reason I ordered this particular one is because in the main picture it was without the center brace. I didn't want a bracket in the middle. You don't have to use a center brace, but you do have those non-removable screws sticking out in the middle that are an eyesore. i ordered 2 of these shelves, one 60" and one 48", at first the 'boxes' they were packaged in were worse to get them for the shipping adequately and both arrived slightly damaged with holes in their boxes. However, they were both shipped on time if that helps lol.
