🚗 EAG Windshield Hinge Light Mount Brackets Compatible with 1987-2006 Jeep Wrangler TJ YJ – Set of 2 Review

So I bought these for my 2006 LJ Rubicon. Factory countersunk screws are not suitable for these brackets. The bolts are too short and the bracket is NOT countersunk. You need to purchase 4 separate button head screws for proper installation.

The product itself is good and will meet my needs. The problem I'm having is that the hardware that comes with it has the wrong thread pitch and won't thread into the standard Jeep windshield hinge. For the installation I had to purchase 5/16-18 x1 inch satin steel screws. It's great that they include screws, but it would be nice to provide screws that actually fit.

Tried sinking to see if it works. Then it turned out that a hole could not be countersunk due to a curvature in the drill path. Hanger bolts don't work even with a countersink. Due to the extra trip to the hardware store and the cost of the screws, I wish I could just buy a kit with what I needed. Wouldn't buy again.

Looks good. Powder coated textured finish that matches most of my jeep addons. My only complaint is that the holes aren't drilled, allowing the shank screws to countersink. You must replace the OEM screws with stainless steel screws to install them. Easier said than done. But once installed, they do their job and disappear in the background.
