The plastic tips in the lifting legs broke

The supplied plastic clip on the ends broke so I used the old metal shock absorbers and all is good. Otherwise I am very satisfied with this product.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Will write later

Didn't fit my 1995 Jeep GC Laredo

If a professional mechanic tried to fit them they wouldn't fit. He said the plastic clasps would not seat properly, making it impossible to get the other end closer to the clasp.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options

Fits 1994 Jeep ZJ - Lift Brackets

Fits 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee You will need to use pliers to angle the lower bracket. The top bracket has "L" and "R" inside to give you the left and right rack. Holds the goal with no problems.

Pros
  • Self Confident
Cons
  • Volume

Move well for lifting legs

To buy or not to buy In any case, everything you buy is garbage and breaks. t I buy the product once and it doesn't fail for a month

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Just like the original

Fits 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee but not quite like the original. The original had a pivot on the hatch door. They don't have that and instead just have a straight bar that rotates the jamb when the door is closed. They work, but the question is for how long.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Non automatic

Not a happy customer!

I bought these for my 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee as replacements and they don't fit although they say they replace them and they "fit" be careful though You buy them and you have to return it, I only get part of my money back because I have to pay. Yes, I have to pay the shipping costs for the return. Not a happy customer!

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Disappearing

Regardless of the age of the car, they will help raise the sunroof like new!

They fit perfectly and lift my tailgate like it's brand new! The installation process was easy and after a few months of use they are working perfectly. At first I was worried they were too stiff but after a week or so they became incredible. It's like having an auto-opening tailgate on a car that's going to be a classic.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Almost never

Check the details before purchase, before installation.

As you can see in another customer's photo the clips on the ends are plastic. I think it's only a problem if you snap it the wrong way. If you do this and find that the little hook doesn't line up. Good luck releasing the latch without breaking the end. Although they got up very easily, with no problems. I couldn't even get far enough to see if the plastic end would support the weight of the top gate. I had to change them. Now they're both garbage. ABS plastic ends will not withstand removal…

Pros
  • Heavy Duty Construction
Cons
  • Repair

Another nice mess (but ended well)

Somewhere a Chrysler Jeep engineer is giggling at the Laurel and Hardy comedy he/she is developing in the rear door pillar mechanism of a '94 Grand Cherokee Has. Yes, the tailgate will fall and hit you when changing struts if you don't secure it. Yes, instead of a pretty standard screw, they indicated a weird Torx device, so Stan and I ran to Harbor Freight with a socket wrench to get a head. Yes, this thing is stuck in a space where the outlet is difficult to maneuver. Yes, it takes borderline

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • flimsy
