Simply great: building materials

I bought these stairs because I recently fell down a wooden ladder and severely injured my back. I wanted something that was safer than what I currently have, but also something that wouldn't damage my stairs. These steps meet both requirements, they make the stairs safer without damaging the wood. The only downside to adding steps to the staircase is that it creates extra cleaning work (the steps catch dirt and need to be washed and vacuumed). We placed them on painted wooden stairs leading down to the basement. The original look was perfect! However, it was the only thing that was perfect. They didn't hold up well on the stairs. Slips easily when stepped on, which may cause some guests to slip. We ended up putting small nails around the edges to prevent slipping. Works well - can be adjusted

I have 3 large dogs and they all slide down our wooden stairs in the house so I decided to try these steps. I hesitated because I don't like the look of the carpet steps. on the stairs, but the welfare of my puppies is important to me. They arrived quickly after ordering. They are thin but offer good support. not the softest rug, doesn't feel that great on my feet but I can handle it. However, I still didn't like how they looked sooooo on the stairs. These steps are AWESOME! We bought these for our wooden staircase to give our dogs some grip, especially the older one as he was very afraid of slipping in his older years.
