Open a 3-3/8" dimension and 2-3/4" depth hole, put gauge into it and fasten. Hook up easily, 3 wires connection(power, ground, lighting). This is complete unit, can work directly with gps sensor together, not need other sensor cables. Mount the sensor at any position, on or under the dashboard. It takes about 30 seconds to get signal in the first time, but less than 3 seconds after that. It gets quicker under a clear view of the sky. Sometimes if signal is missing, pls. reconnect all wires and restart it. It shows Current Speed, Trip Meter(return to 0 after power off), COG, ODO(cannot be reset), Press the back button to adjust unit(KM/H. MPH, KNOTS). Notes: Low speed readings (speeds 3 knots and under) not useful. Red Backlight, 9-32VDC(12VDC/24VDC) Working Voltage,1 year Warranty, 100% Waterproof and anti-fogging protection.

Saves a lot of money!

The first took the dump in 10 minutes. They immediately sent me a replacement and everything seems fine. It fits directly into the original hole at a price of 80%!

Ideal for electric boats

Bought a speedometer for our boat. They react very quickly. Even faster than my GPS phone. We use it to maintain wakeboard speed and it's accurate to the tenth.

GPS of the Day: Devices

It does what it has to do and nothing less. Installation is easy, starting to sync with the satellite is fairly quick. An interesting note makes 0.5 for mph numerically.

Works as described: Speedometer

I installed this on my 1999 Moomba Mobius direct drive boat. We love skiing, wakeboarding and surfing. This replaced the old sensor with Pitot tubes. It was easy to install. All you need is +12 volts from ignition and ground. I bought and used an auxiliary power fuse box. Turn the key and it turns on. Seems accurate. Double checked with my phone on the river. I will be ordering another one for my tracked robot project.
