vacuum leak source.

Took a little less than a year. Started seeing Lean failures. A vacuum leak has been detected in the O-ring. After removing and testing the membrane, it was found that it would not hold a vacuum. Much cheaper than BMW parts but not worth the hassle. Consider restoring the original.

Pros
  • Makes me happy
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Happy customer with spare parts

This seller is fantastic. A defective device was delivered to me without any warning from the seller. I sent them a warranty request and they handled it professionally and quickly. I received a replacement a few days later and this unit is well worth the money to run it. My BMW is now very happy. Many Thanks.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • I won't tell

The bolt holes did not line up with the holes on the manifold

I had to machine the brass bushings almost to the plastic because the frame around the damper was bent a few degrees from the hole bolt. After I did that and installed it, it works so far. No more OBD codes or Check Engine Light.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Some errors

Excellent in my BMW X5 3.0 M54 engine

Fits very snugly on O-ring - needs some silicone and pressure to fit snugly in manifold bore. This is definitely preferable to a sloppy/loose/leaky fit. I also think that every 50,000 miles this could be a "normal" service point. My last DISA valve did about 55,000 miles.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

Poor quality, waste of time and money.

I would rate it zero stars if possible. The first went out of service. The diaphragm held a light pressure and quickly leaked down. I gave them a second chance and asked for a replacement. The second did not hold the pressure, the valve immediately slammed shut. Very poor quality and apparently no quality control before shipping. Luckily I have no money, only time and the inconvenience of a broken car.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Requires an outlet

Not for 04' BMW Z4 2.5i E85 M54B25

Disa valve does not fit. It does not fit my 04" BMW Z4 2.5i E85 M54B25 as recommended in the product description nor my Revain garage. As you can see in the photos the part that goes into the intake manifold is oversized compared to the original part on the right You can also see where the rubber seal is coming off near the valve pintle and I didn't even take it out of the box I'll be back I hope no problem.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Modern

Avoid this at all costs!

These o-rings and valve seals are absolute junk quality, I ordered one and when I first got it the seals looked like junk and some parts were missing or coming loose so I figured mine just be bad one. I went ahead and replaced it with a new one only to see the same issues and with a junk gasket like this you're only going to get yourself into more trouble as the gaskets will cause the vacuum to leak and in some cases during the usage breaks off. and gets sucked into your air intake and possibly

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Minor issues
