Doesn't compensate best in Energy Controllers

I liked this controller at first but after using it for a few months I don't like that it keeps its cycle no matter what when you by ten batteries fully charged they float or whatever it is called if i use a lot of batteries they are not compensated or charged so at the end of my day my batteries are not fully charged as my other brand system controller compensates on purpose and while panels produce energy, my batteries stay charged

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

2 years old and works perfectly.

I installed this on a 1k solar panel powering an offline/grid shop. It powers all my LED lights and chargers with 2 deep cycle batteries. I would do it again and it works great. I got the software working on a laptop in 2019 and it sucked. If they haven't updated it don't buy it and think the software is amazing because it was hard to set up and useless once I did. But a 100 amp block is reliable. I don't even think about it. the thing just works. And that's how I like it.

  • Great price

Very reliable and productive

Mine is 200VDC/100A and is connected to 4 parallel strings of 4 72 series honeycomb panels. 295 Wp/cell each. I ran through 1.6 megawatts. The battery voltage is easy to set for lithium batteries. The RS485 package allows me to save data to a PC using the eLOG01 unit (sold separately). The radiator heats up in sunny weather so I mounted it on a steel base plate, fans help with that. The MT50 value is great for monitoring. There really isn't a good way to read data into a remote web application.

Pros
  • Hands free operation

Read the review in Generators and Portable Power Supplies

Product launch only. Unfortunately, it doesn't allow me to enter more than 3 hours of bulk loading (the trojan recommends four). I had to increase the voltage to compensate. It was not possible to force him to communicate with the computer. Ordered a wifi adapter which somehow works - you have to be very close to the adapter itself which is a bit weird as the supplied external controller allows you to control all the settings exactly the same. application ah. Again, the instructions are…

Displayed current readings are incorrect

Voltage readings are fairly accurate. However, the current reading is a lie. I have measured the current between the PV and the controller with the built in multimeter and the controller keeps showing that it is 0.4A higher than the actual current. Similarly, metering between the controller and the battery consistently reports 0.7A higher than the actual current delivered to the battery. This applies to both the display on the device and the remote display of the MT50. I also checked the PC app

This 50 amp model is just what I needed! Great support for Y-Solar!

This new 50Amp Tracer 5415AN controller is a replacement for my existing Epever 30Amp controller. I liked my 30 megapixel model, but it was time to increase the number of batteries and photovoltaic panels in my system and I wanted a device with more expansion potential. This 5415AN was just what I needed! It's slightly larger than my 30 amp unit with lots of massive cooling fins on the back. What I really like is that I can now connect wires up to 6 AWG directly from my battery and PV arrays…

Pros
  • Decent performance

  • Not sure

They sold me a bigger controller than needed

Amazon says the maximum power of PV modules is 625W, but the literature says that the charging output power is 625W and the input power of the PV module is 625W W is more than 920 watts. There is no user guide on their website to confirm the exact count. I could probably use a 30 or 40 amp controller for 610 watt panels, but Amazon lists the nominal charge power as the panel input. (50 amps at 12.5V = 625W when charging). You won't know the maximum PV input the controller can handle until you…

works as it should, but old technologies and programs can be improved

works as it should, but old technologies and programs can be improved! The instructions are poorly written and the UI was awkward when attempting to customize settings and it would be much better if the instructions were more detailed as to what each setting does. for example, when setting the amp-hour of a battery bank, one should say, for example, the higher you set the Ah bank setting, the more amps it will deliver to the battery (if it really does). My guess is that most batteries can be…

Customer service is excellent.

I got this EPever Tracer AN Quick after I ordered it. I'm not ready to set it up yet, but wanted to test something today (Sunday). Looking at this consideration for purchase, I read a review that said the screws that attach the cables to the battery were difficult to tighten and I wanted to see if they were the same. I removed the cover and tried to turn the screw and of course they were difficult to turn, I couldn't turn them at all. So I contacted the company (Ysolar) and figured I'd hear…
