I gave this product 3 stars because there is no wiring diagram. Once I figured that out, everything worked. You would expect Red and Black to be wires from the power supply. But no. This is the blue wire that normally powers the device through the switch. The AC/DC wiring diagram must be attached.

In general, the product is of good quality and looks good. The only thing that confuses me is that the plug that comes with the switch doesn't even fit in the switch. The pins have a completely different layout. The switch won't even fit in the socket no matter how hard you try. I got it to work by soldering directly to the switch. I would like to use a connector as it would make my setup cleaner.

I gave 4 stars overall because in the normal position the button is flush, but when the button is pressed it is in a fairly small hole embedded on the 1/4 inch. If you have fat fingers you might not like it, but it still works well. I ran the switch from 24V, but since the LED plus has an internal 12V resistor, I put a 1kΩ resistor in series. At 12V with no resistor the LED was drawing 13mA, and at 24V with a 1kΩ resistor it was also drawing 13mA, which is about right for red LEDs.

No instructions but easy to understand. Assuming you have a newer style of connection and your plug actually matches the switch, the color codes provided should work for you. I wish they had made the bezel around the front of the Switch a bit larger. The switch body is 15.8mm wide, while the face that actually holds it is just 17.8mm wide, just an extra millimeter on either side of the opening. Use NOTHING but a 5/8" drill bit straight into the panel to make the hole or the switch won't hit…

The connectors or plugs supplied with these switches do not match. The assignment of the contacts on the switches and the assignment of the terminals on the plugs are different (see photo). I bought 7 of these switches thinking I would save myself the headache of soldering those tiny pins, now I have 7 useless connectors. I'm going to try taking the terminals out of the connectors, putting them in heat shrink tubing and using them individually. By the way, they were not connected in a plastic…

This is my third (well, technically fourth) switch in the last few years. My first one in green works fine once I figure out the wiring. The second one in white had to be replaced because no matter how I connected it, the light didn't come on. He was exchanged. When the new one arrived I had to hook it up very differently than the green one for the white light to come on, but it works. I decided to add some tracking lights to my jeep and found that the last switch that went bad was an accident.
