Good price! in Internal Power Supplies

I got mine through Revain Warehouse for $45. I couldn't beat this price for a 600W EVGA PSU. It also has a 3 year guarantee. To be honest I don't think there is much difference in power supplies other than price. I test all my PSUs with a power meter before adding them to a build. Once installed, I leave it on for a month or more and don't turn it off unless I'm running updates or making changes to the BIOS. I think it's sometimes a godsend to get a descent power supply regardless of brand. I…

Stay Away Electronics

This power supply was purchased to replace a 500 watt power supply that I have owned for several years. Plugged it in and everything was great at first. After about a month, I noticed that my case's RGB started randomly flickering. At first I assumed my RGB controller was the problem so I bought a replacement and the problem persisted. I spent another month isolating the problem by removing all fans, RGB strips and RGB AIO to no avail. So there was just one more thing to check and I went back…

bad fumes and then died for 5 days

The fumes coming from this PSU were so bad my throat hurt. Then, along with the moisture from the shower, the fire alarm went off. (Neither the shower itself nor the computer itself caused this.) But whatever. I installed a desktop USB fan and used a flexible drying duct to blow out the fumes. After 4 days the smoke was gone. But on the 5th day, the power supply also disappeared. In the middle of working on the computer. phew! everything turned off. It didn't restart. I didn't know if it was…

Defective after 5 months of little use. Avoid this brand

I bought this power supply in October 2019 and just had an error that rendered it inoperable. While using the PC, I heard two loud bangs, similar to gunshots, which meant the capacitors had failed. Unfortunately, this comes at a time when half of America is under heavy coverage, orders are in place and shipping costs are quite high. When I requested an RMA for a three-year warranty, the shipping costs were more than buying a new one. I understand that company policy requires that a defective…

maybe best confused in Computers and Accessories

somehow figured out that the ATX power supply was just that - it powered the ATX board. It's been a while since I've replaced anything like this, but connecting three lines shouldn't be that big of a deal on an older machine. It was the second of the same delivery - the first was replaced by this one - more or less both did the same thing causing a second reboot. My old supply still works with the machine afterwards. Tried it on an older machine, thought it was ok for a minute, the download…

Died within a month

It looked and felt solid and well made, but after three weeks it had a faint burning odor and died after a few days. It started with a mysterious blackout. Several subsequent startup attempts ran for a few minutes and then crashed or mostly shut down with only the fans running. It was the EVGA 600W BR model that replaced the 500W Antec PSU that had lasted seven years, so it's not like the EVGA 600W PSU wasn't the right choice for this system. Power is supplied and the system works normally…

Died after 3 weeks of use! Poor quality

I had my doubts about buying a power supply as it was so cheap but since it's from EVGA I took a chance and tried it. I've bought GPUs from EVGA in the past and they've worked great. I bought it for my new Ryzen 5 3600+ RTX 2060. So for now it's working great and I hope it won't cause me any problems for 3-4 years until I'm ready for the next upgrade. Also, it's pretty quiet most of the time. Edit: As of June 2nd, 2020, the PSU stopped working. PC can no longer be switched on. I only finished…
