Do you need a compact, robust and accurate compass?

Good: - Easy to use - Accurate - Has a sight hole - Can take map readings - Sturdy design Bad: - No Conclusion: I compared this compass to my iPhone compass and it is an accurate match. The compass design is durable and waterproof. There is a sight hole for more accurate measurements. There is also a ruler for determining distances on the map. Overall, I would recommend this compass for its build quality and ease of use.

  • Absolutely amazing!

Too annoying. seems to hang.

This looks like a good compass, but in my experience it's not very satisfactory. He "might" point north at some point, but it looks like he'll have to do a lot of digging to find his own version of the level. I don't know why it's so hard to make a freely rotating bearing for a compass needle; I've seen a lot of these sticky compasses, as well as a couple of $8 Chinese plastic compasses that were much better. For $40 it's not the same. I never had the certainty that it was pointing north and…

Put a cord on it but yeah good compass

Love this compass, easy to view from the back, it comes with a small post to put it in. I just don't understand why a Tsimpas company wouldn't give you a cord to wear around your neck. Instead, they give you a thin thread to hold on your wrist that snaps quickly. It just seems like they will sell you a really good quality compass for a good price but they are very cheap for buying the cheapest thing. I still like it and would recommend it, but I would also recommend that the manufacturer fit it

Pros
  • Good product for the price

Looks and works the same as the Suunto KB-14

I wanted a Suunto KB-14 sight compass but I just couldn't spend $150 on a compass. This is the perfect alternative! It's similar to Suunto - it's a solid aluminum block. Feels heavy and tight in hand. It seems fairly accurate, at least it agrees with my other compass. It has a viewing window at the end so you can look through it to "see" the object. In the viewfinder you can see the coordinates of the direction you are facing. I live in the desert so I'm very careful where I am when I'm camping

Pros
  • Best in niche
Cons
  • Newer model could have been chosen

Poor accuracy in outdoor sports and leisure supplies

I have been using compass and map for many years and have tried many different models. It looks attractive but is not accurate enough. I know exactly where the north-south line is in my house. I set this compass up on a flat table on a known north-south line and sometimes it fits and sometimes it doesn't. what do i think After playing around with it a bit, I found that I could place it on a flat table and line it up with a little fiddling. When I then rotate it back and forth there is some…

Great if you don't have GPS

Pros: Multifunctional Graduated in 1 degree Accuracy to 1 degree Durable Liquid filled Waterproof Vibrating screen Vs: No What I got in the package: 1 x EYESKEY Multifunctional Aluminum Alloy Military Compass The multifunctional EYESKEY aluminum alloy military compass is great when the GPS fails or you don't have access to it. This is a great tool when you're in SHTF and need to figure out how to get somewhere. As a military veteran, I see manufacturers putting military or tactical labels on…

Impressive, simple, minimalist, durable. A little heavy.

Scout guide and compass and I love this model. It's heavier than most as it's made from a single block of aluminum, but that also makes it durable. The viewfinder adapts to tired old eyes like mine and seems fairly accurate. As this is a pointer compass, the bearings are marked on the compass wheel, which turns VERY smoothly when in the horizontal position. The map's distance measurements are engraved on the sides so they stay there for a while. The housing of the compass wheel itself is made…
