excellent mirror replacement

When I broke my mirror I was afraid to find a replacement. Most cars require you to replace the whole damn body, which costs hundreds of dollars - SO annoying and wasteful as anything else. You really need the glass. I am very happy with this mirror! it fits my old cracked one perfectly and the quality of the glass is top notch. Thank you thank you thank you!

Pros
  • durable finish
Cons
  • expensive

Perfect fit, strange reflection

I bought it for town and country in 2006 and it fit me perfectly. However, the mirror is very distorted and not that big. This keeps the police out of your case, but doesn't work very well when it comes to actually seeing what's around and behind you. Update: after a while either the weird reflection goes away or you just get used to it. Ours fell off so I'll have to order another one and use better glue this time.

Pros
  • Quality assembly
Cons
  • There are nuances

I liked that the installation was very easy. After cleaning the original mirror with alcohol (I had cracks but it was intact) I applied 2 strips of tape and glued the mirror, no difference. The car dealer wanted to charge $250 for the repair! It is of good quality and fits perfectly. The only downside is that the mirror is attached to the cardboard with a very strong glue. So be careful not to break it when removing it.

Simple and low price for body and trim

Used to replace heated side mirrors on 2001 Dodge Grand Caravan. The mirror is double-sided, so it fits on the driver's side. It's slightly smaller than the original (a few millimeters), which is necessary for the mirror to fit in the lips and hold it in place. I bought some RTV glue to hold it in place instead of using the supplied double sided tape strips. Removed the old mirror and removed the heating element. RTV glue the heating element to the new mirror (let it dry for an hour) and then…

Fits well either side

I bought this because my driver's side side mirror had a crack that made it very difficult to see and when the water got in it was discolored too. The instructions are very simple and the application was very easy. I didn't uninstall the old one, just installed over the old one. I assumed I would have to remove the old one but was glad to see that wasn't the case. ALSO remember that the mirror is easy to use on either side as it is highly polished on both sides. This is interesting because on…

excellent value for money

I have a large 2002 caravan and was able to remove the glass and plastic backing from the mirror body by gripping the body with both hands and using my thumbs, push and lift to pull the mirror to get out . Mirror. Then the glass was completely removed from the substrate because the replacement mirror is not curved flat, making it difficult to attach it to the original flat mirror. Therefore, it is better to put the replacement in a plastic pad. Once the old glass is removed, wash with soap and…

Works well, but beware.

I ordered this for my city and country in 2007 because my passenger side mirror had an appointment with the garage door and was cracked. The first thing to note is that when you get a mirror, it's not necessarily "wrong". Both sides of the mirror are well mirrored. If it's for the passenger side, just flip it over. Next, remove the old mirror. Not so easy. Mine gets hot and the whole back is glued to the plastic case. Some recommend taking a hammer and breaking it. Not me. I tried that and…
