Great for the price

It's a bit crazy when I can buy a complete anchor light with LED bulb for almost the price of a new LED with offset pins to match my existing anchor light. Haven't installed it yet, only tested it with 24 volts from the panel, but it's a decent quality product and it gives enough light for a 2 mile radius. So I don't like it and the delivery was fast.

Very bright light! Best in Sport

Easy to install. The mounting holes were in the same place where the block was removed, eliminating the need to drill new holes on the bimini rail. Unfortunately the wires that power my fixture come out the front of the rail rather than the bottom, so I had to cut a groove in the new bracket to allow the wires to move forward without getting pinched when the lamp was attached become the rail. The light is very bright!

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Some issues

Stopped working after two trips.

When I first got the light it was bright and worked great. I installed it using new marine grade duplex cable with heat shrink connectors. everything is protected by heat shrink tubing filled with dielectric grease. The lights began to dim intermittently and then went out completely when I was in the middle of a trip. Very disappointed with this purchase as I now have to shop and buy another light.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Good but not great

Works as advertised

Bought to replace an old anchor light on a cabin cruiser. It is very bright and consumes little energy. I had to invent a mount for it (on the front edge of the solar array), but the way the base is arranged turned out to be easy. I also smeared the threads with a bit of lube before sealing them to keep water out and to make it easier to open should I ever need it. It has been exposed to all weather conditions in Colorado and Wyoming 24 hours a day since June and so far has proven to be…

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Very expensive

Warning: Weak Base requires caution and care during installation!

So far I'm impressed with the low power consumption and light size; The mounting base design is very weak and weak around the screw holes. It is extremely delicate and will tear when screwed to the mast. Mine broke during installation so I had to reinforce it with 3M 4200. My suggestion is to modify it before installation by filling in the weak underside with 3M 4200 or other substances to strengthen the base before permanent installation.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Not everything fits

Very bright.: navigation lights

I had enough lying around in my garage to get it working. I was hoping the light would run on a 9 volt battery (some LEDs will) but this one won't. Luckily I reused the 18 volt battery I broke and hooked it up to a dash with USB ports and a voltage gauge. I used a buck converter for use with lights. Runs about six hours and is very bright. Not sure how well it does in the rain, the coating feels cheap like it might let moisture through.

Pros
  • nice item
Cons
  • communication with seller

Won't last long, look elsewhere

While it's bright, LED, compact and made with a metal base, I don't think it's worth the hard-earned money. As another reviewer mentioned, you lose light output over time and it looks like something has come loose from the light source. Upon closer inspection, the plastic reflector actually fused to the circuit board, wiping out some of the LED chipsets. Personally, I don't consider this to be a "one off" defect and assume that this will be the case after several longer sessions. The…

Perfect, easy replacement for a Catalina 27 anchor light

Rarely do you buy a replacement part for your boat that is easy to install and of the highest quality. My 1987 Catalina 27 blew out the anchor light and I tried to get the LED string but it didn't fit properly in the socket. I also broke part of the plastic cover trying to remove the old one so figured I should just replace the whole unit. Catalina Direct didn't have a good LED replacement option so I tried these from Five Oceans. I was able to solder its wires to the old ones and plug them…
