a must when troubleshooting modern equipment

I've been using a multimeter to test 4-20mA for years. It seems like most manufacturers use converters and PLCs these days, and turning off and removing cables saves a lot of time. I realized it was worth the money the first time I used it. Now everyone wants to borrow mine.

Pros
  • 0.01mA resolution and sensitivity
Cons
  • Not sure

Not for calibration, clips keep breaking.

Completely inaccurate for calibration. Works well for troubleshooting if it's not broken. We have 4 of them in the store, 3 are broken. The plastic clip is very cheaply made and breaks with normal use. Fluke successfully fixes them, but they keep replacing them with the same clamps. I myself amplify the clamp on one of them, I'll post a photo later

Pros
  • Measure mA signals for PLC analog I/O and control system
Cons
  • Clearly bad product

Great tool. Not that great quality.

Great tool. Not very good quality. i love the product It is a great tool for troubleshooting, commissioning and verification. What a time saver! Don't worry about a blown fuse due to an incorrect multimeter connection. Still, I'm more than disappointed with the quality. I don't use a multimeter much, and now the clamp loop is broken. It's a cheap piece of plastic. And a new collar costs almost as much as a meter! I think Fluke either made a mistake or exploited a bad design or both. Fluke would

Pros
  • Best in class 0.2% accuracy
Cons
  • Minor issues
