What a disappointment for Parts & Components

I'm not sure what the problem is but no matter how I tighten the screws this thing still slides down the neck. I even made spacers thinking they were just the wrong size. Still not tight enough to stay in place. I tried to tighten it a little and the base broke catastrophically.

Replacing the stem to help my wife's "numb " arms

As a cyclist with over 30 years of experience, I know that sitting properly is key to comfort. As my wife got older, she had more hand numbness, which means too much forward pressure. Adjusting their ride height with this stem solved the problem by creating a greater balance between seat pressure and arm pressure.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • There are flaws

Does exactly what you expect

I wanted to raise the handlebars a bit to relieve the numbness in my palms and I succeeded. It didn't completely eliminate the pain in your hand (invest in quality grips and gloves), but it's an inexpensive way to get a little more headroom without having to find new handlebars.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Some minor tweaks

Fits as expected. Looks good

As expected. Looks good. Normal weight for this size. Perfect for making the bike a little longer than better. As children get older, you can periodically swap out the stem for a longer one, but do not exceed the length of the original stem as the bike may become unstable. My daughter will need this for a year or two when she transitions from a 24" bike to a bike. 26 inch.

  • Good product for the price

Shorten my range. in sport

Looks good. I coated all the bolts with anti-seize compound to avoid problems with the steel bolt threads and the aluminum threads. I used it to shorten the distance from the handlebars of a mountain bike to the steering column. from 100mm to 60mm. Previously, my seat was adjusted all the way forward, and this allowed me to move the seat back a little so my butt was properly against the seat.

  • GOLS certified

  • Crumpled

Great for the price

I needed to reduce the offset on my gravel bike and wanted to try this stem size with a cheaper option before switching to a $50-$100 stem. The fit and finish isn't as good as the branded parts up close, but once installed it looks good. Also seems strong enough for MTB. I rode rough singletrack and sent a few 3-foot drops (again, this is on a hard gravel bike) and it didn't budge. I see no reason to switch to something more expensive at the moment. I just wanted the bolts to be black to match…

Reliable base product

This replacement part fits the bill and looks well made but only time will tell. I rebuilt my classic custom steel bike from a classic gooseneck stem to a new style two-piece system. I recently had achilles tendon surgery and due to the natural slowdown of age, my local shop refitted me and gave me some new numbers to set up my bike for a more comfortable ride. I hope this product will add a few more years to my cycling health. I need to do a few test rides and check the general durability of…

Perfect solution to make my bike comfortable

I got this stem to get some comfort from my flat handlebars installed on my hybrid bike. I had a 7 degree 110mm stem and it didn't work. The frame size was perfect but I kept slouching forward in my seat and my neck was killing me. I kept adjusting my seat forward, but it was never enough, so I had to change the distance I leaned forward. I got this 60mm 35 degree stem which surprisingly made a huge difference in raising the bars up and closer to me. I no longer slid forward in my seat and felt

The most important component to tuning your bike

Moving the handlebars is probably the cheapest change that has the biggest impact on a better bike fit. Imagine stretching your arms out where they would most like to be and then moving the bars to get them right there! Now, what modification to the stem would allow this, or get you as close as possible? Buyer Note: There are two common handlebar widths where the slope meets. Get the one that fits your handlebar (existing or new). Then there are different lengths and angles on the stem…
