Disappointing fit: camera and photo

Not sure if I'm in bad shape but the lens does not stay locked when fitted and unscrews easily from the housing's latch. The mount is also odd as the lens doesn't seem to be in the right place once it's mounted on the camera. If you use a different adapter from a different company and look at pictures online, the infinity lock seems more in the way and not dead on how that adapter mounts the lens. The good thing is that the correct frame lines appear and don't seem to move when I move the lens.

The lens fell off my camera, however.

Funny story. I have used this adapter with a Canon 50mm f1.8 it never snaps but I love this lens and it has always been quite snug on my body. I was filming a group at a local bar, someone hit me and the lens fell off the camera onto the concrete, adapter first, and somehow managed to bend the adapter enough that it now fits perfectly and snaps in nicely. I can't remove the adapter from the lens, but I only use it on my M3 anyway, so that's it. I wouldn't buy any more of these. I am attaching a

You get what you pay for although the price is good

The adapter is almost the same as the picture. The structure is made of machined and polished aluminum alloy. While it's not flimsy, it's not as durable as more expensive plated stainless steel or brass blocks. Right out of the box, most of the machined edges were sharp. The first thing I did was sand the edges to avoid cutting. The fit seems accurate for the M mount, although the first few times it was mounted on the camera (Voigtlander Bessa R3M) the adapter did not fully engage with the…
