I am a great friend of Freud. Freud simply makes excellent quality products that the average consumer can afford. Other than that, this dado set is no different than other Freud products I own. Cuts a good dado with smooth edges and a flat bottom. It's not the world's fastest dado cutting set, but then again. I really don't expect it to be in its price range. I think it's hard to go wrong with a Freud blade. I use this on a Ridgid R4512 table saw. Great quality and a clean cut every time. My main complaint is that the attached chart indicating which blades/spacers/shredders to use to get a specific width was inaccurate. I made test cuts according to their chart and measured with a caliper and the width wasn't accurate. So I suggest creating your own guide. Overall I would recommend this set. I have an inexpensive Rigid R4518 compact saw that I have tweaked to cut straight. I can do a good job with it, I just have to take it slow. I bought the SD206 because my saw can only handle 6 inch stacks. 8 inch stack for many years and very satisfied. For the price I thought it would be a good set. The "unboxing" experience was not very good. The "screws" that hold the blades in the plastic case have been tightened to about 1mm ft.lbs. I had to poke them…
