Works great: Cutter parts and accessories

I made about 40 hickory relief panels with this cutter and it did the job perfectly. It didn't get too hot and cut evenly. For those of you who haven't used hickory, it's a very tough wood. I'm not sure if it will do 40 more, but it definitely has some life left.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

Aggressive cutters in door and window bits

When used on doors with red oak bezels, it bites the cross grain with a vengeance, leaving a surface with minimal sanding for a final finish. Be sure to run it at slow speed and make three passes or it will burn deep into the wood. Slight learning curve to set up once the top cutter is on board.

Pros
  • Handy
Cons
  • So far so good

Without middle bearing. in door and window routers

Should have understood that a router guard had to be used when ordering. I would expect a proper plate cutter to have a bearing between the plate cutter and the rear cutter. Without it, you need protection for safe use, and it rules out any option for cutting curved panels made with a router table pin. So I sent it back unused.

Pros
  • Hands free operation
Cons
  • Very expensive
