I have a stereo in my cave. I was blown away by this little preamp. Clean, fast and very well built. $50 well spent. Solid purchase!

imbalance after burning, tubes and cables changed, no luck. I guess trying to find a cheap way out due to pipe perfection didn't work for me. As always, your mileage may vary.

Great addition to my vacuum system. The tone control helps to compensate for unfavorable speaker placement. Now I can turn down the volume on my Yaqin MC13 without losing the effect. Highly recommended.

The sound quality was very good but the RCA inputs and outputs were cumbersome in a studio environment, I would have preferred a 1/4 inch. The tone controls are very effective, especially when using older keyboards and drum machines.

The only problem was a brief crackle/click. I reinstalled the bulbs but that didn't work so I bought a 'matched set' of replacement JAN 5654W bulbs from another Amazon supplier which work great. The difference in sound is noticeable, much more open and voluminous than without tubes. Price improvement makes this an easy task.

Really improves the sound of vinyl records. It's hard to quantify, but the sound quality feels warmer and fuller. The assembly is not bad, very solid and well finished. My only caveat is that you use well shielded speaker wire and if your phonograph has a ground wire, use it. Without this, the box buzzes audibly when you increase the volume of your AV receiver.
