The perfect fan to repair my Hornntek HT-3402u3 data case

The perfect fan to repair my Hornntek HT-3402u3 data case. Works perfectly and has proven itself as I use this fan 24/7 to back up my home server and everything works great.

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Hard to say

There's a good chance you'll damage the connectors on the.

The fan fits exactly as it should and works well, but the wires on the connector were installed opposite my existing wires on the originally installed fan. I had to unplug the wires from the connector on the replacement fan and switch the wires to the other side of the connector to make it work. What a PIA! If I ever have to do it again, I'll just cut the old wires and connect them to the new wires to avoid the hassle of the connector itself. It's almost impossible to remove and swap out the…

Cheap offer!

This is a fairly thin case fan with multiple 80mm diameter blades. I used it to replace a PSU fan in a MATX build that was failing and it was a great replacement. Judging by the sticker on the outside, it's quieter and uses less power. It's also fairly thin, around 8mm. I had to cut and splice the wires because my old fan had a lot of glue around the connector, but this new fan comes with a very long 2-pin cable.

  • Consistent test results

  • Some difficulties

These fans are awesome! Powerful but tiny.

These 2-pin fans are perfect for discreet airflow in tight spaces. The thickness is 10mm, but you can make it even thinner with a little modification. I was able to fit mine into the 8mm gap by sanding the cage a bit. At full power, these fans aren't as loud as you'd expect, and there's no problem with noise. I'm very impressed with the amount of air they move. People have written about the fragility of fan blades, but I haven't seen anything to suggest they break easily. They appear to be very

Replaces the stock EVGA fan.

Absolutely quiet. It doesn't seem to be moving much air. But it moves it to where it's needed as a replacement for the EVGA GTX 650 SC's stock fan. The fan motor is smaller and the entire heatsink of the graphics card is now effectively cooled (the previously installed fan moved more air, but was noisy, too high, and the motor diameter was too big to cool the center). The plug fits perfectly. Note: This fan is effective for me when installed outdoors. The timing of a closed case WILL affect…

Really quiet - fans & cooling

The general rule is: the manufacturer's or retailer's idea of "quiet" and my idea of "quiet" are rarely comparable. This fan is really very quiet. I have an external bay for my 4 SSDs and the included fan, the sound was like a turboprop airplane taking off. I switched this fan to this and am happy with the silence.

Pros
  • Robust design
Cons
  • Speed

Calm and moving air!

Note: Check polarity before installation, there was a label on the fan telling you to do so. I had to swap wires for my use case. This fan worked perfectly to replace a very noisy (and smaller) fan in a power supply used for a 3D printer. With a larger fan area, I had to print an extension for the power supply to keep the fan free of multiple components. Search "Ender 3 Pro - PSU Thin Fan Cover" if you're doing the same as me.
