Best marker I have ever used

I prefer these markers to carbide markers because the tip is nice and thin. This makes it easy to see what you're doing and makes it easier to mark holes.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Very expensive

Quality tool: Marking tools

Very well made. Very sharp and versatile tool. Suitable for many different tasks. It should not be missing in any tool box. The only reason I bought it was because I lost my first one that I've had in almost 30 years.

Pros
  • Super price
Cons
  • Tape

Broke the first time

Well, looks good, but the pick shaft broke the first time it was used. The metal that broke it was of dubious quality. My previous tradesman choice like this one I lost recently lasted over 10 years. I found better ones elsewhere and bought two.

Pros
  • doping πŸ”₯
Cons
  • not reliable

I'm a bit disappointed. But it's very cheap, so what to do.

Only the tip is hardened to file height. With 3/4 steel ends, the metal is much softer. The file only rolls on the last centimetre. I'm a bit disappointed. But it's very cheap, so what do you expect? The handle is aluminum as if glued.

Pros
  • Hands-free work
Cons

Great for many things.

This recorder is amazing. The shaft is very solid and doesn't bend like some others. I've been using identical markers for over 30 years. I use it to align screw holes between sheets of metal, poke holes in styrofoam and drywall, remove o-rings, work with carbs, stir hobby paint, mix a small amount of epoxy, and even paint with it occasionally. I still have my original, but I just wanted a different one. The best single instrument I own.

Pros
  • Few competitors

Inexpensive way to improve your accuracy

Great inexpensive tool. I use it exclusively for marking metal (aluminum, steel) before cutting. If you want accurate cuts, you need to take accurate measurements and then mark them correctly - nothing beats a scriber. I've used both ends for line markers - so far there haven't been any problems with either aluminum or (carbon) steel. . As you would expect the line drawn on the steel is smaller - I paint the surface with a marker and then draw - the line drawn really stands out against the…

  • Easy to read control panel
