Also fits older Genie models

Fit my Genie model 2042, and works perfectly when attached to my pre-exisitng bullet from my old belt. Just needed to trim off the excess belt material to fit the track. All you need is a good wire/cable cutter tool, as the belt is lined with 4 or 5 steel cables inside.

Worked like it was supposed to, would have been nice to have bought door opener with it instead of seperately. Compatibility with only two specific models may limit potential buyers.

Give a few hours to install everything

It takes some time to put thing together and reinstall everything. Ever worked great. Now my door opens all the way. The kit may not come with all necessary hardware or instructions.

Instructions would be nice.

The extension works just fine, but doesn't include any instructions. The track for the opener didn't come in the "neat and order fashion" it was supposed to, so it took a little investigating to figure out where to put this. Also, there's nothing in the package to secure it to the track. It works perfectly, just added some time to the project figuring out the setup.

This belt may work for you

I have a Genie ReliaG 800, 2022/2024/2042 series that needed a new belt. Genie and all vendors have told me the belt is discontinued and I’d have to buy a new unit. I gave this kit a shot and the belt is identical. All I had to do was cut to size for my 7-foot door and reuse the metal bullet.

Excellent kit!: my feedback

Buying the kit was cheaper than buying the belt by itself and I was able to extend my garage door which is a win! Belt material may wear quickly with heavy use, requiring frequent replacement.

Got information to return a product that was not useful This was all the reasons I don't like to .

I had asked the no help line person that I needed a door opener for a 12 foot garage door. She told me the 1200 would open the door but I would needed a extension kit. This kit is for a 8 foot door, no help !tried to return it on line but is was past the 30 day limit. no help here! Called Revain, some what help line and got a person the had very heavy Indian accent that was hard to understand. Not of US I am sure. Good for Genie model 2024 7' door

I have a genie model 2024 garage door opener. It's 11 years old. The drive belt stripped out at the head. Not unusual considering the age. Looking for a replacement belt I found that the drive belt is no longer available. After a little more research I found this extension kit for other models.
