I recently bought four of these (three different sizes) and replaced my old fluorescent bulbs. They are much brighter than the old lights and look great. These devices are well made with good materials. Since we don't have dimmer switches, I can't comment on that possibility. I am very good with tools, electronics and closet lighting. This is a NIGHTMARE to install. Go to KIWI Lights instead. The zip ties won't let even one piece of Romex 14-2 through, let alone two, so you'll have to buy 3/4 inch heat shrink tubing and add a lot of fiddling time.
