The threads on the fittings are too big

I bought these before reading the reviews and after not "feeling" the threads during installation I went back and checked. .550 on quarter inch fittings. The default is 0.540 and it seems that most of them are actually around 0.530, making the problem worse. I solved it with sandpaper and a heavy wire brush application. I clamped them with a metal vice and now they don't seem to flow. If I didn't need them immediately I would send them back.

Good hose, so-so fittings

As others have said, the brass fittings on the end of this hose leave a lot to be desired. It became more and more difficult to thread the hose into the main thread. I unscrewed the threads once and found that the ends of the threads were exposed. I put tape on the ends, it didn't help. My advice: think about how you want to use this hose and leave it at that. It's like the fitting has a micro taper, no problems with air leakage as the thread selflessly creates a plug. The hose itself is great.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

I used this hose to fix the manual inflator (see photo). I was able to bring my old inflator back to life using the GoodYear hose and AstralAI air cartridge, which I also bought from Revain. Now it's better than new. This GoodYear hose is designed for heavy-duty applications; so much higher quality than the original hose on this inflator. In addition, the AstroAI air chuck is much easier to work with than the blocking chuck. It snaps onto the valve stem, but you don't lose much air when you…

Great hose, inexpensive fittings.

I wish I could give it 4.5 stars. I have a longer version of the 50ft air hose made from the same material. The 50ft version seems stronger and thicker than this hose, but I used it to run from my air compressor to the hose reel. I have the same as the 50ft version, the hose has CHEAP fittings. The threads are tapered, so on many connectors you can only get 1-2 good turns before needing a wrench to turn further. The brass is so soft that screwing the hose into the fittings will cause them to…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design

  • Slightly wrinkled
