Really surprised at how good this thing is! I completely forgot to leave a drainage hole for the tub during a bathroom renovation and when installing the subfloor and the sealing. So I snapped my loading angle grinder at the port with this blade, and not only did it cut through the hardbaker, not only cut through the grout underneath, but it also cut through the 1/2 inch thick plywood underneath! And with the cheapest angle grinder that money can buy. We'll see how it looks on ceramic tile over

Don't get me wrong. The tile cutters are great, I have 3 of them and am a semi-professional. But sometimes improvements have to be made and the tile cutter just can't get to it. You need that. When working on a flat surface, I add some water to the surface of the tile to cool it down (at your own risk). A worn tile saw blade left a lot of chips around the edges of the porcelain stoneware I cut. After looking at the mixed blade reviews at local hardware stores, I purchased a Revain 7-inch GoYonder blade. I'm very glad I did this. After about 50 cuts on an 8 inch tile, the edges are still very good. I tape the face of the tile and this seems to help get a good cut. I have about 30 more cuts so I may have to buy another blade, but it's worth it when the finished work looks even and clean.

This grade and blade was chosen because marble is listed as a compatible cutting stone. After installing it on a new Diamondback wet saw table and checking for squareness and flatness, I attempted to cut my first 10mm thick 12" x 24" marble tile. The blade definitely cut through the marble with no problems. However, the finish was far from ideal, chipping all over the cut. See attached photos of factory edge and raw edge.
