Surprisingly it's quite quiet

I expected the duct pump to be noisy but this MA0387X-9 (1hp) is not. I'm very pleased with how quiet it is. It moves a lot of material and is very durable.

Pros
  • An Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Piggy Bank Price

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Powerful and correct materials.

Replaced my commercial septic tank with this pump. Preliminary testing has shown this pump to be well constructed at half the size and weight. A 1 year inspection/review of performance, corrosion and performance will tell me if it will last the next 20 years.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

So much potential but the switch won't turn off

Very powerful pump but after installing it in a clean pit the float switch stopped working and started working constantly. I made sure the float is free and not hanging. So I hope to find a solution soon to change my rating to five stars because I really like the pump.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Upgradeable

Outstanding design

This robust jet pump offers high performance and value. Cast iron and stainless steel. Powerful motor and pump. Installs easily. We were able to quickly remove the old pump and install this pump. It was definitely worth waiting two days for delivery instead of rushing to get a cheaper pump. (Well, maybe everyone disagreed about the wait, but it was worth it.)

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Safety

2 out of 3 failed within a few months

We use these because they pump shallow driveways. No excessive rain, no mud, just water with normal dirt/dust. Not sure if it's a set of units but both appear to have burned out. these are the 120v versions. The price would be reasonable if they lasted a few years, but unfortunately they don't. I will open and update an RMA as soon as I get a chance.

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • Speed

Still works best in water pumps, parts and accessories

This is my update on my previous five star review. This pump has worked great 24/7 for four years. I lift my dirt 32 feet before it can float into the city sewers. The float broke today. I had to circumvent this with an external float switch. I still consider this pump to be the best bang for my buck. It would be better if the float was not built into the body. I will buy again. For those who have trouble filling the float, an outlet (vent) hole is required about 1/16 inch just above the…

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Minor issues
