Not impressed with toasters

At first glance this product looked good; However, after a thorough investigation, a serious bug was discovered. The crumb tray can only be removed by pulling it up and over the front door. We make dead ends all the crumbs on the back of the unit. That alone wasn't the reason I sent it back. When we tested the device, the timer went off, but the device didn't turn off. The toasted ones just keep burning the toast until it's crispy.

Great for toast! suitable for kitchen and dining room

After research (too much) I decided to buy this toaster. It was simple, inexpensive, seemed powerful, and fit 6 slices of toast. When I made my decision, I was tempted to buy reusable items, but I've pulled away - I'll probably never use it any more than for toast or the occasional baked potato. It makes perfect toasts, quickly and evenly. Maybe it's a different story for people who actually cook in it (like my fantasy self) but it suits my purposes, great toast, small counter area. Nooooo!

Small appliances at a good price

Well I've had it for a while now. But so far it works as expected. It is definitely worth its price. I was looking to upgrade to a fancier toaster but they all had more power and I was afraid I would blow a fuse as my fridge etc are all on the same line. This oven is 1440w which is 40w more than my previous oven so I figured I would be fine. I'm still getting used to this as I have to make sure I have three controls set up for what I want to do so I'm deducting half a star for that as simpler…

It's probably because my old toaster was SO lemony, but I really like this baby - especially because it heats up very, very quickly. What else can you say about a toaster? Well, it cooks evenly and fairly quickly, and it has three grill positions, which is pretty handy and unusual in my experience. The oven and grill functions turn off after just 30 minutes, so keep this in mind; Of course, there's a Stay On attitude. Cleverly, the elements are protected by perforated metal and spaced about…

The standard toaster is spacious and works well

Have been using it for a few months now. Holds and evenly bakes a 12" pizza or 6 slices of toast. Pizza diameter 12 inches. Bakes, toasts and grills, but is NOT a deep fryer or convection oven. (What do you want for the price?) Three tiers for more versatility you'd expect from a small oven. Includes crumb and drip tray. The timer manual and mechanical - without digital reading. To interrupt the cooking process, you must reset the timer to zero or unplug the oven. Otherwise, the items will turn

Love the space it gives me

My old Hamilton Beach Toaster broke. Most of my kids are in college now so I was looking for a small to medium sized stove as a backup. I rarely use the toaster, but I do toast vegetables and bake small casseroles, which is much faster and cooler than preheating a large oven because it doesn't need to be preheated or heats up quickly. Since I didn't need a large oven, I initially ordered the model 31143, which claims to hold 4 bagels. Maybe 4 mini bagels, but there's no way a bunch of asparagus

UPDATED - Timer stopped working

UPDATED 12/21/18 After 5 months of daily use, the timer on the toaster stopped working. The toaster still works but I have to set a separate kitchen timer for 3 minutes to avoid catching the toast on fire and then turn it off manually. The product warranty is still 1 year, so I am contacting Hamilton Beach. It took them 2 emails to reply and all communication was slow. Their process requires me to cut the cable from the device, send them a photo of the cut cable, pay $11.49 to have a…
