    Will not work with built in headphone controls

    I have been looking for a short extension cord that will work with my built in headphone controls and lasted over 1 week. I have other cord making extension cords (3 prong) and they work great and last a long time. I thought to try 4 pin. nope Does not work with built-in headphone controls. The search continues.

    Works most of the time

    The cable seems to be of good quality, but the microphone connection sometimes drops when I move the cable. It is connected to my Macbook Pro and headphones. Headphones work great without an extension cord - no cutouts, no hassles. So it looks like something with the extension cord is causing the mic connector part to fail. It seems to be on the plug end (connection to the laptop) because if I unplug it and plug it back in it works again. So the cable is fine, but a bit unreliable.

    Bzzz! the best among stereo plug cables

    I use this cable as an extension for my headset to work from home during COVID. My headset has a microphone. I've heard some complaints about background noise buzzing, so I did some research. It turns out that when you speak, there is a faint hum coming through this cable. The situation is made worse when the cable is next to other cables.     I bought this cable to extend my 3.5mm earpods for my Macbook Pro. I've been using the cable for several months with no known issues on my end and during a web meeting someone asked me who does the buzzing.     Terrible noise with the microphone. Just good enough to listen to.

    I wanted this to expand my headset with a mic so I can stay away from my laptop on long audio calls. But no matter what I do, everyone on the other side complains when I use it with a mic - there's too much noise.     Unreliable microphone connection, breaks easily

    Bought for a headset with a 3.5mm jack microphone. At first the sound worked but the microphone didn't. Contacted the manufacturer and after several email exchanges they finally agreed and sent a replacement. After replacing the device, the microphone and headset worked. But only for a month.     Are you looking for a YouTube microphone extender like me? Well I thought I found a great solution. This is the correct number type, TRRS for my Diety mic and presumably HiFi plating and gold plated connectors. What you don't see is what caused this product to not be recommended for me.     Why use a TRRS cable that does not support the use of a microphone? I really appreciate the red wire as it helps distinguish the audio jacks on different computers.
