Perfect for cruisers!

I tried mounting my cruiser on a regular pick but to no avail. This shelf is perfect! It is very easy to install and the bike is completely safe while riding. I'm 57 years old so lifting the bike onto the rack is quite inconvenient but I can do it with relative ease. I am completely satisfied with the trunk and recommend it to other cruiser owners.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Works perfectly. Make sure you installed correctly.

Works great when installed correctly. My husband forgot to put the foam inserts in between the trunk and trunk of the car so now we have 2 small dents there. I don't think the instructions for this were very helpful. So make sure the metal on the strut doesn't touch any part of your car without foam in between. Otherwise worked great, rode 4 hours with 2 bikes in the back, a cruiser and a fat tire bike, and no problems.

  • Easy to read control panel

Great product at a great price

In a nutshell, it worked well. Moved 2 very heavy beach cruisers in the back of a Nissan Maxima 400 miles with no problems. It's not a quick on/off (took me about 15-20 minutes) as there are 6 straps to install and adjust, but once in place it's solid. The straps are very long so they are long enough to secure the wheels from spinning on bikes. Comes with foam support for use between bikes (highly recommended) and allen pull rods are also recommended to keep bikes upright. The only negative is…

Works well with accessories

I bought this luggage rack for my 2008 Dodge Caliber. The main issue I encountered was interference with the top of the pillar being too close to my car's rear wiper. I was also concerned about the top straps resting on the rear air profile. After a bit of learning and a few trial runs, I was able to set it up to hold two adult bikes. (Roughly £40 each.) I ended up thinking I could use this rack to carry my bikes on a trip to Florida. (960 miles). Never had any problems along the way. A few…

Perfect fit for my Subaru and Townie

I've had this bike rack for three months now and am very happy with it. I ordered it after reading reviews that said it was easily carried by a city dweller and easily attached to a car. I have a Subaru Impreza station wagon and it was very easy to fit. I'm 65 years old and it's very easy to attach the rack and lift the bike on it. The straps are long though, but I cut them a bit shorter and burned the ends. After first fitting the trunk to my car, I simply lowered the support arms, which…

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Doesn't fit all

I am very satisfied with the trunk

I bought this trunk only for business trips, I drove a rental car as my usual car does not need a trunk (pickup). I read a few reviews that mentioned the rack was 'attached' and it is, but I liked the straps that attach the rack to the car and the bike to the rack. Very strong/stable mount. I rented a Camry and was a bit nervous the first time I used it as I didn't know if it would fit (it looks like the car has a spoiler and the Hollywood website said the Gordo would not fit with a spoiler). Amazing rack! Easily transports two beach cruisers.

After a month and a half of use I was impressed with this stand. It's pretty easy to install once you get the hang of it. I got it after one try. I use it to haul my own beach cruiser and occasionally a mate's beach cruiser and the trunk makes it super easy and worry free. As soon as I park and tie up the bikes, I know they're going nowhere. However, my only issue/problem with this is that the straps that attach the rack to the bike are loose. With 6 contact points on the back of the car and 2…

Great rack for 1-2 bikes, especially for women

When I read reviews of bike racks, my first criterion was that they fit well on a women's bike. It's a little awkward to mount this rack on the back of my SUV by itself, but I can get by with it (once you've adjusted the straps for your car, each use becomes easier). It comes pre-assembled and the instructions also get 4 out of 5 stars because they are relatively clear and illustrated. The belts can also be easily adjusted in the car. There are a few curved saddles that you can put a bike in…
