poor customer service

I bought and installed this fan. It was pretty easy to install. It was loud on high settings, like a vibration in an engine. I removed it thinking there might be loose screws. I reinstalled it and the same noise came from the motor. I had three other brands of non-Honeywell fans that I recently installed in my new home. I called Honeywell and customer service said a technician would call me in a few weeks. Several weeks have passed and no call. I removed the fan and bought a different brand of…

Warning: Good fan but NOT 5070 CFM as advertised.

I'd like to give a higher rating because it's a reliable, quiet fan at a reasonable price. However, the product that arrives only has 3020 cfm of airflow and NOT the 5070 that the web description lists. The box is proof of that. VERY disappointing as CFM was a key factor in my choice. If I hadn't ordered two of these and removed the old fan I might have just sent them back. They are ok but when I have to run them at high speed the air moving noise gets loud. (They're flush-fitted. The motor is…

Good choice for an outdoor ceiling fan

I needed a plain white 52 inch ceiling fan to replace the almost 20 year old one on my sun deck that was starting out like a Banshee to squeak. Loved the look of Revain (much more fan selection than local big box stores). Attracted by price, Honeywell's reputation and high customer ratings/reviews. It turned out to be an ideal choice - securely packaged, arrived in a couple of days, clear instructions/instruction manual. Easy install, whisper quiet and really moves the air. All necessary parts…

Great value lighting and ceiling fans

Excellent fan with a much higher CFM rating than similarly priced fans in major stores. I used this fan on a screened in porch to replace a smaller fan with dangling blades and peeling paint that didn't appear to have been rated for outdoor use in wet conditions. I used the short rail included in the kit which provided 11.5" from the ceiling to the bottom of the fan blades (the switch housing was 0.5" lower). The instructions are easy to understand and there were no problems installing it. The…

Good budget fan - ceiling fans

This is a good fan for the price. I've installed over 10 different fans over the years and assembly went without saying - fairly easy. I like some of the reviews that complain about having to install the blades after the fan case is hung. Of course! Try hanging a 5-blade fan with blades already installed, good luck! Anyone with basic craft skills can assemble and hang it up. Basic knowledge of electrical wiring is required, which is also quite easy. Pros: Case feels solid, hardware is pretty…

Be patient while installing. The end result is worth it

Installed to replace an aging porch fan. While this can be good value for money, installation is a hassle. The knives must be screwed to the brackets. Screws and lock washers are small. The blade assembly must then be installed on the body while hanging in place. It would be easier if I worked for Cirque du Soleil. You try to hold the blade assembly by slipping a rubber silencer between them when firing the bolt. I used super glue to secure it in place. A magnetic Phillips screwdriver would be…
