Description of 16 Fl Oz HOPE'S Pure Tung Oil: Waterproof Natural Wood Finish and Sealer - Enhancing SEO

Easy to Use - Tung oil is a natural oil recognized by craftsmen to offer the ultimate hand-rubbed finish for all fine woods; just wipe on and allow the oil to cure at room temperature. Permeates - Unlike other finishes that form a film on the wood’s surface, tung oil penetrates deep into the wood fibers, cures to a flexible non-oily solid, and becomes part of the wood itself. Protects - Resistant to moisture, alcohol, oil, and everyday wear for lasting beauty and protection; lasts many times longer than mineral oil and wax based products. Multi Use - Amazing results on almost any surface that will allow the oil to penetrate - new unfinished wood, weathered wood, stripped wood, concrete floors and countertops, even brick, stone, and cast iron. Great for Food Contact Surfaces - Since tung oil is considered non-toxic when dry, it is great for cutting boards, butcher blocks, countertops, wooden bowls, wooden utensils, and more.

Now I'm loyal to tung oil.

I used this to protect the outside of some cedar beehives I've built. You look beautiful! It was easy to apply - much less fussy than Fleck. I applied two coats with 24 hours between coats. I'm a sloppy person so I love that this product is non-toxic and easy to clean. I applied it indoors as my shop is too cold to apply the oil at the moment and it didn't smell at all. I will edit this review to reflect how the hives hold up throughout the year. At this point I will definitely be using this…

This is a pure tung oil that works great on maple plywood

The picture shows me before and after applying Hope Tung oil to 3/4 inch maple plywood. Firstly, I am very happy with the product. I have to say I was wary of purchasing this product because there are some websites that say Hopes is not 100% tung oil, but after doing some research it absolutely is 100% tung oil (with no added ingredients). I spent about 8 hours. Watch videos and read blogs about the application. Ultimately, this is the method that worked for me. I hope you find it useful.1. I…

Great quality, great product, not so good instructions.

After reading the negative reviews it is clear that some of those who spoke earlier did not work with tung oil. Tung oil dries for a long time, so many products are diluted with white spirit or other products. I usually apply my first coat of mineral spirits for the first two uses and apply neat oil for the last two coats. The finish is painful to apply but the results are phenomenal. This tung oil is by far the best value for money neat oil. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 stars is that…

Great for my application

I used this to finish off a coffee table top that I made. The table is industrial in style with a vintage look. The table's frame and drawers are steel and the table top is 100 year old barn oak paneling. The top is lightly hand sanded but has plenty of "character" and open grain. I wanted to make something extremely durable that would look better the more it was used. Now I applied it without a Japanese blow dryer because I wanted the top to be STRONG! The scent took weeks to dry and months to
