How it connects well suited for the brake control

It would be nice if this article would be accompanied by instructions. I had to contact the company to find out how to connect. Very helpful with installation. While it works great

Pros
  • stable construction
Cons
  • small things

The battery status indicator is great!

Hooking it up was easy and I really like the battery status indicator which confirms charging and general battery health. With this indicator you can really tell if the device is working!

Pros
  • Enjoy
Cons
  • Everything great

Don't rely on the instructions provided, search YouTube for installation

Does exactly what it's supposed to do but the instructions provided are terribly vague. Good for YouTube, otherwise I would be lost here. And if anyone is wondering what the difference is between this and the 20099 or 20119, it's that there are no mounting hardware.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Null

You may need this if you have electric brakes.

I hope I never need it but I feel a lot better towing a trailer after replacing my totally dead system with this battery and switch. A good wiring diagram makes installation fairly easy. At the same time, I replaced the 7-pin connector and added a junction box. I also like the charge indicator which the old battery never had. The article gets 5 stars.

Pros
  • Dope πŸ”₯
Cons
  • Upgradeable

It doesn't get any better!

This is just what you need to add emergency braking to your trailer with electric brakes. often this must be sought separately. I bought it to replace my previous battery as it has withstood bumps on rough roads and anywhere on the roadside in Mexico. This replacement was of higher quality and installed in minutes.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Repair

Easy to install brake kit with built in battery

I needed a way to apply my trailer brakes without having to connect the trailer's 12 volt battery. This kit is great for checking the output voltage when pulling a pin. Make sure you always leave the pen in place to keep the contacts clean in case you ever need to use it in an emergency. Installation was very simple and required grounding, 12v power supply and connection to the trailer brake cable.

Pros
  • Best in class
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Good price, good product, crappy instructions Not built to last.

I'm replacing an old Hopkins tear-off set that hasn't worked. The previous box was metal and the LED and test button covers were gone allowing moisture to get in and pretty much wrecked the board. I bought this trailer used, apparently it was stored in salt (water) air. No calls for Hopkins. The replacement box is made of reinforced plastic, which is good and negates the rusting problem. The breakaway bracket is made of zinc plated metal that will rust after about 3 years here in the Pacific…

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • Easily repairable
