Great combo! About House Cleaning

Used both oil and conditioner on new chopping block board. It took three coats of both as instructed and took about a week to apply, leaving each coat overnight. The result is amazing! This turned the soft block into a rich, warm block where you can see the beautiful grain. There is no problem with odor but we applied oil and conditioner in the workshop prior to installation, not in the kitchen or living area.

The butcher block looks great!

I have 12ft x 5ft. Meat Block Tabletop. These are top chefs. I slice, chop, dice +++ on this top. I keep it clean, but it loses beauty - signs of wear are visible in some places. To lighten it up I used Howard Butcher Block Conditioner and Oil. It made a noticeable difference. I doubled the area used for cooking - indistinguishable from the area not touched by kitchen utensils. GET - READ INSTRUCTIONS - USE! Great results!

New to making my cutting board

Based on some research online this brand has had great reviews so I decided to give it a try. I used it on my new cutting board that I've had for years. On both the wood looks revitalized, I feel the wood is smoother and more resistant to moisture. It also seems to go a long way. I've also treated all of my wooden serving utensils and hardly left a dent on the bottle. I will definitely buy more. Pictured is my new cutting board after the treatment. It used to be rough to the touch, dry to the…

Really brought my cutting boards back to life

Received 2 packs of conditioner and oil. Not many complaints as a side note, they overlap quite a bit in usage I think. Both require multiple coats to be applied and both are rich in oil. If your wood is in decent condition, you may not need air conditioning, and if you have old, felled wood that needs to be brought back to life, air conditioning may be best. In any case, it is a bit cumbersome and it is enough to apply 3-4 layers. He did the job for me and restored the cutting board to the…

  • Absolutely amazing!

I installed a raw wood butcher block for my island. I didn't want to end up with stains or chemicals because I roll out dough and bake bread on this tree. This is a natural product and gave my chopping block a warm look. The only problem will be that you will have to work your island at night to give it time to soak up the oil and then rub it in well, or leave oil on magazines or paper that you can stick on it. But I've had very few such episodes because I spend time rubbing the oil in. I love…

A loyal customer of wood conditioners, waxes and oils

I've been buying this set for over a year now and I'm very happy with it. I oil my boos block and chopping boards weekly, eventually running around the house to oil an old leather chest, a possum belly cabinet, and a wooden crate. About once a month I wipe everything down with beeswax. LOVE how elastic and rich it makes the surface of the block. Use beeswax on leather, wood, aged metal and even wood stove metal. Better than any spray. I love this stuff!

Pros
  • Howard's BLOCK CONDITIONER IS THE SAFETY BLOCK CONDITIONER on the market.
Cons
  • So far so good

Decent Product on Wood Polish & Care

I've been using it since the day it was installed (almost a year). I have 2 meat block style countertops, one of which is a table that rarely sees crumbs or food and is not often whipped. I've done this three times and it looks great. The other is our cooking area. This one is struck daily, sometimes multiple times. I wax about once a month. 1 bottle lasted me almost 1 year but I applied 2 lots of coats before installing to ensure a good bottom seal and let 2 'soak'. 1st photo is wet at work…
