The printer's wireless is set up correctly. Then the scan paper could not be recognized. Then I couldn't turn it off. I called HP support. They said that since there was no serial number on the machine, just a number on the outside of the box, they thought it wasn't a genuine printer and that I should buy an HP printer directly from their website. (Their website was also $20 cheaper). Don't buy from Raven. They sell used printers for more than the original printer through HP.

I'm very happy with how it works and the print quality

I chose this printer mainly for its small footprint and portability at home, not just for travel. I am very happy with the work and the print quality. I don't have a particular need for fast printing or large print runs, so this is fine for my needs. I've scanned photos, printed and scanned pages of text, tested photo printing and been very happy with the results. I love that it has a battery. So if I need to use it anywhere, I don't have to carry a cord around. The standby battery life is…

Document feeder is annoying, USB does not work.

The printer was working correctly. The first problem is that the USB connection is not working. The computer writes an unidentified device. Bluetooth works, but not always. It's delicate. Now, just 90 days after purchase, the automatic document feeder is feeding multiple sheets at once. I bought it to do essential things during a van trip and I regret it. Back to my Epson scanner. To update. I received a quick response from HP support. This gave me a link that essentially prompted me to reload…

Quiet printing, easy setup

I had no trouble setting up this printer and am basically a miserable Ludditer. The only thing that puzzled me was that the diagram said to remove a piece of foam and tape inside the printer. I spent 10 minutes trying to find something that wasn't there. This is the quietest printer I have ever heard. You don't put the ink cartridges in the printer until you've charged the battery, which took about an hour. The printer only has 2 ink cartridges. The appearance of one has a pink top while the…

Would love to return - WiFi not working **UPDATED** Problem solved

**Updated 05/06/19** I called HP support as requested by a comment on this review. I was on the phone for almost an hour, but the support rep was persistent and kept urging me not to give up (I was about to throw the printer away). After going through all the steps to make sure it wasn't the problem. I was a technical idiot, the rep tried to reset from the main panel. That does not work. Eventually, he walked me through a series of key presses that took me to a "secret" menu reserved for HP…

HP has terrible, terrible, non-existent tech support.

I bought this printer because my sister has the exact same one and it works great. Setup was easy. I love that you can print wirelessly from any device as long as you're on the same network (phone, laptop, iPad, etc.). So the printer is great. However, HP is worth nothing. Actually less than useless. It turns out there are two (probably three) Officejet 250 printers that your computer can detect when you click print and for some reason it defaults to the one that isn't online, so the printer…
