I have been looking for a monitor to replace the HUGE 19 inch CRT monitor I used for my business as a professional photographer for over 9 months. When I decided I couldn't afford a twelve hundred dollar monitor, I looked for an alternative. This widescreen LCD's glossy lens delivers a stunning image for image editing, photo management and more. (Good for movies too!) My only gripe is that it's only *okay* for on-screen text; Fonts can be displayed better. It might have been even better with an updated driver, but there doesn't seem to be one for my hardware (MacBook Pro via DVI). All in all, it's a killer value.

I just love this monitor! I have a smaller monitor at work and really miss the extra screen real estate, 1680 x 1050 is just a BIG screen. I can really get a lot of windows/information and having a dual port USB hub is just the icing on the cake as it adds a more convenient place to add USB drives and you don't have to have a case next to the monitor and/ or having to access awkwardly located (rear) USB ports. Bought this to replace my 19" square monitor. After receiving it and setting it up I noticed the screen is a little crooked. I couldn't get it to sit up straight. At a basic level of functionality, the monitor works well. But when you switch between landscape and portrait using the auto-rotate feature, the icons are scattered all over the place and the monitor can't remember the icon's position; You have to manually adjust the symbols each time you use the spin feature. This is a great monitor that fully meets my expectations. The monitor was easy to set up and my new HP Pavilion m9252p computer didn't require any adjustments to get a great picture. The package includes a user manual and an installation CD, but this was not necessary as everything worked straight away. I only had this device for about 1 month. I had to upgrade my graphics card to get the right resolution. It's not HP's problem, just that the native resolution is so high that some older graphics cards can't keep up. Screen is clean and bright - no dead pixels - all colors are vibrant - monitor dims on cold start and brightens as it warms up in the first 60-90 seconds - I don't know if that's typical of LCDs. I bought it as a desktop add-on for an HP zd8000 laptop. On the plus side, this monitor is nice and bright and attractive, and the colors are pretty good overall. In addition, it blends aesthetically with other HP devices. The mechanical design of the stand and swivel monitor is simple, functional and excellent. Default font rendering is terrible on OS XI, I changed all my fonts to Helectiva or whatever would be fine. Download TinkerTool to set font antialiasing to 144, disable antialiasing and save your eyes. The fonts now look as sharp as they do on Linux! The "Quick View" button on the front of the monitor lets you quickly toggle between different color/brightness settings - ideal for switching between game, movie and web profiles. This monitor is awesome. I do advertising and use it for graphics, video and audio editing. Images and text are sharp and clear. The color rendering is excellent. I like the flexibility of the design that allows the user to position the screen at any viewing angle. USB ports are also a nice plus. This is a premium consumer monitor that can be used in a commercial environment. It was a big upgrade (in every way) over the two 19-inch Princeton monitors it replaced.
