I have upgraded from a 19" Dell monitor and so far the HP has been a very welcome upgrade, nice pictures and just the right size. I would recommend this monitor to anyone looking to upgrade.

I use HDMI and the monitor is great. The frame rate is good. I connected VGA to an older graphics card and didn't like it. I don't recommend using it with VGA although it could be the old graphics card I was using? Good size for native HD. I have 2 dead pixels after 6 months of use. but they are hardly perceptible.

Out of the box, the speakers started popping when there was no audio input. When music was playing it stopped, I tried various ways to stop it including swapping audio cables, checking connections, adjusting the volume, using a different computer, etc., but none of these methods solved the problem. HP support is a joke and was very unhelpful. It was promptly returned via Amazon for a refund.

I bought it in 2009 when it was new and it still works. HP W2338H. Great display, HDMI, RGB, speakers all good. The HP is great, except the glossy black frame will show every speck of dust and every single one of your fingerprints if you inevitably reposition the monitor.

When I opened up this monitor I was pleasantly surprised to see how well made it is. Very easy to connect, no additional cables required. The screen is wide enough to have 2 windows open at the same time. I recommend.

I really like this monitor. It's glossy as others say, but I only recognize it when the screen is off. Otherwise there is no reflection. The color is striking and crystal clear. I don't have a speaker so can't confirm that, but easy controls. Windows 7 automatically recognized it and set the correct resolution, so there was no fiddling. I really wouldn't do anything other than get 2 inches more. But for the price, I couldn't refuse!

This is the second monitor I've bought in a dual monitor set. For what I wanted to use this setup for (basic business data processing) it's perfect. It also comes at a fairly competitive price. So far both monitors are working great with no setup issues.

I bought the HP w2338h hoping it would deliver on its promise of a VGA connection to my computer and an HD connection to an AT&T U-Verse HDTV. I actually bought this monitor for my office work so it works 8 hours a day. I'm so impressed I'm ordering 2 more for the office. This monitor has good viewing angles, is durable and very pleasing to the eye. The only monitor that can beat this one is the LED backlit monitor, but it costs more.
