HSM C14C Cross Cut Shredder 5 3 Gallon Review

After trying this shredder, I am incredibly impressed with its performance and efficiency. It easily shreds through piles of paper, leaving small and unreadable pieces. The sleek design fits well in any office space and the 5.3-gallon capacity means it doesn't need to be emptied very often. My only con is that it can be slightly louder than other office electronics, but it's a small price to pay for the high-quality shredding it provides. Overall, I highly recommend this shredder!

The shredder actually cuts a little wider than 1/8 inch. This is not a cross cut so the strips are as long as the paper you put in them. Seems calm. 12 pages went through the system just fine, including a staple (it was a bit louder than fewer pages). According to the manual, the box was supposed to contain oil, but it wasn't. The outside of the box was fine, but the inside was wrinkled. Fortunately, the inside of the product was not damaged.

Much quieter than my old one and much, much better quality than the Chinese junk I got rid of. It took a lot of effort to find a shredder that wasn't made in China; everything that can be found in the local stationery store is now made there. German HSM quality justifies the additional price. Here's what a 5-star rating would have done - a smaller size and block. The display is very clear on the size of the piece and I'm not disappointed; I just wish it had the same quality and better security.
